Back in 2007, our library went through a major renovation on its first floor and relocated all the faculty and staff into newly remodeled offices in the basement. With no windows. That used to flood.
The offices (cubicles) were nice enough; new office furniture and all, but still. It’s a basement.
Recently, we heard a rumor that with this new change in leadership, we’re going to relocate to the second floor. I was hopeful. I was crossing my fingers. I’d be able to see what the weather was doing without looking it up online! And then today! Today, I asked my boss if he thought it was really going to happen. And he said yes!
He said that my department is definitely moving upstairs! YAY!!
And then he said, “Into one of the tower rooms.”
The tower rooms.
Our building’s exterior has eight “towers” that jut out from the facade of the building. They probably have some purpose aside from architectural design (because frankly they’re not all that attractive). Each tower has a room on each floor, separate from the rest of the space. A room with no windows.
From the dungeon below, to the dungeon above. I’d say I was Rapunzel, but she at least had somewhere to throw down her hair.
I think someone needs a tiara
well, I think u should u just keep yours on your head from now on anyway.
Valid points from both of you.
Maybe I am too because I think all offices should have windows.
